Sustainability

We are consistently trying to "Green" our operations. All of our deliveries/events are presented on re-usable equipment unless otherwise requested by the client. Disposables are only provided to clients upon request and every effort is made to use re-usable, biodegradable and compostable items. Our vehicles are carefully maintained and serviced for optimal efficiency - and our delivery routes plotted efficiently to eliminate unnecessary travel time. Paper waste from events are recycled, glass containers are recycled or returned for refunds and food leftovers are donated to a local food bank, Kerr St. Ministries.

Within our facility, we operate using high-efficiency Combi-Ovens for over 90% of our cooking process which significantly reduces our carbon footprint with energy savings. We have high efficiency water tanks, replaced our pre-rinse water sprayers with low flow heads for reduced water consumption and installed low flow aerators in our kitchens. All our cleaning products are biodegradable and are ammonia/phosphate free were possible. Paper towels are made from 100% recycled paper, our lighting system uses compact fluorescent light bulbs with dimmers and our deliveries abide by a no-idle policy for vehicles entering our premises.

Not only have we taken to green measures, but also purchase from vendors that have these green initiatives in place also.

IN THE COMMUNITY

Our Owners, Managers, Event Planners, Chef's and Staff are active with many local organizations, charities and boards and we fully support their involvement. Not only is our staff involved in their own special charities, but also help to fulfill our goals of giving back to the community through our very own register charity, the Charity of Hope - co-founded and chaired by our owner Morris Mercanti - ultimately ensuring that all activities to raise funds are conducted with integrity; ensure that when soliciting for funds, it is done in a professional manner; ensure that 100% of all net proceeds are donated to fund children in need; execute everything we do with excellence; and conduct ourselves with a positive attitude and to celebrate our successes and have fun.
